Really relevant topic these days, with our ability to visualise systems, we have a better understanding of the bigger picture on a number of issues. Have you seen "We feed the world"? its an austrian movie that really adresses this issue and brings out some of the frankly preposterous economic models that exist around food production and consumption. I think you'd enjoy. I'm also contributing to a blog on food, food design, obesity and other growing issues around food in general.
